Petra has been a classroom teacher at Šmartno pri Slovenj Gradcu Primary School for many years. During this time, she has developed projects that integrate sustainability, international cooperation, and digital pedagogy. For the past decade, she has led Erasmus+ projects in which the considered use of ICT tools and artificial intelligence is key to high-quality pupil collaboration. She believes in learning through active enquiry, cooperation, and the testing of one’s own ideas; consequently, she develops approaches that give pupils greater autonomy, reflection, and responsible technology use – the very foundation of her presentation.

Digital Portfolios and AI as Support for Individualisation in the Classroom
This presentation introduces an assessment model in which personalised learning is based on digital portfolios, pre-defined criteria, and ongoing AI analysis. Pupils in the third triad of primary education keep portfolios containing notes, reflections, and projects, while artificial intelligence helps them understand their progress and structure feedback. This process incorporates self-assessment, peer assessment, and professional evaluation by the teacher, with AI acting as a support rather than a substitute. The teacher remains the primary guide in the instructional process.
