Developing Responsible AI in Education Through Co-Creation
The National Education Lab AI (NOLAI) aims to develop, research, and implement responsible AI in education. Since its launch in 2022, NOLAI has initiated dozens of projects in schools across the Netherlands to develop responsible AI for the classroom. What makes these projects unique is NOLAI’s specific approach: every project begins with a request from the education sector – from teachers. Then, educators, scientists, and EdTech companies collaborate as equal partners to develop a prototype that truly works in practice and meets the needs of teachers and students alike. In this talk, Kim will discuss the highlights, challenges, and practical examples of this co-creation approach.
