Dr Jože Guna is an associate professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering at the University of Ljubljana. His work focuses on designing human-centred solutions and developing interactive user experiences, with a particular emphasis on extended reality (XR) technologies. He is involved in numerous research and development projects in the field of XR applications and intuitive user interfaces.
Dr Guna is the founder and head of the MiraiLAB (Multimedia Interaction Research and Innovation) laboratory at the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering and co-founder of the XR360 laboratory at the Ljubljana Technology Park.

XR in the Classroom: How Experiential Learning Supports Understanding
This presentation will explore the effective integration of digitisation in educational settings, with a particular focus on XR technologies, user experience, and contemporary pedagogical methods. Through examples of international and own projects and research, good practices and current trends will be presented. There will be a special focus on reflecting on the impact of these technologies on educational processes, the role of teachers and the future development of education in the context of Industry 5.0 and Society 5.0.
