TALK

Artificial Intelligence as an Ally to Teachers

This talk will demonstrate, in a straightforward and understandable way, how artificial intelligence can serve as practical support for teachers rather than a replacement. It will explore how AI can be used to identify educational needs, adapt content and provide feedback, thereby relieving teachers of routine tasks. Special emphasis will be placed on the question why algorithms alone are not enough, as the effective use of AI in education requires an understanding of human nature, learning, motivation, and ethics. The presentation will conclude with a reflection on the competencies of the future and what teachers need to understand about AI to use it meaningfully, confidently, and to maximise its added value for their teaching.
