Practical Approaches to the Personalisation of Learning with Generative Artificial Intelligence
There is an increasing demand in teaching practice for content, explanations and activities to be adapted to learners’ diverse prior knowledge, interests and learning strategies. In this workshop, we will explore the use of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) as a support tool for personalised learning within the educational process. Using selected examples, we will demonstrate how teachers can use GenAI tools to prepare differentiated explanations, assignments of varying difficulty levels, and create simple AI agents to help learners understand content and learn independently. Special emphasis will be placed on the teacher’s role in assessing the suitability of using GenAI tools and in maintaining educational goals and responsibilities throughout the learning and teaching process.
