Artificial Intelligence has gained popularity in recent months. The world of educational technology is swarming with various AI applications, and at the same time one gets lost in the relevance of these applications for education. Rather than answering the question of what we can do with AI, this talk will focus on the question: “How can AI help me in my day-to-day teaching?” Participants will be guided through the concept of artificial intelligence, educational technologies and their application in the classroom through to the growing role of generative AI.
After studying comparative linguistics and computational linguistics, Jana Aguilar Marquez started working as a business developer in the holding of the Klett publishing group (based in Stuttgart, Germany). She specializes in educational technology in the field of foreign language learning and teaching. She also has 10 years of experience teaching multilingual children, combining all three of her passions: teaching, languages and research on multilingual language acquisition.
